I've been trying to run the Mednafen emulator, but it will not open a game. I read around that Mednafen only reads bin/cue images, and that it requires the SCPH-5501 bios file.. i believe this is for North American games.
I have already downloaded a collection of 15 different psx bios files from EmuParadise, but it's missing the 5501 bios. I did some digging, and others are saying that scph7003 is the same bios as scph5501. For some reason Mednafen is choosing not to read the 7003 bios, and so I'm wondering if it would be smart to copy the 7003 bios and rename it 5501?

The three BIOS files needed by Mednafen (and RetroArch/OpenEmu, if using Mednafen as core).Models:scph5500 - 3.0 NTSC-J (1996-09-09)scph5501 - 3.0 NTSC-U/C. I've copied scph5500.bin,scph5501.bin, scph5502.bin to shared/bios and checked their md5 with tool - all hashes respect requirement described in readme.txt; In the bios checking menu there is no Playstation section and scph. files. I don't know why. I've tried this usb stick with three different PCs and results are same. Did I miss something?
